As of July 8th, I turned 18. I’ve gotta say- it’s tight being an adult now. While I haven’t actually gone out and done anything “adultish”, the feeling that I can is just as great. I’m actually losing my casino virginity soon, so we’ll see how that goes- although I don’t like the thought of throwing away money. Ughh. Twenty bucks is my limit if I go; idc.
Work is sicker than sick. I honestly have the best job, and it’s going to be so hard if I ever have to leave for any reason. These past few months, I’ve worked with some of the coolest people- and just yesterday my manager and I counted up the people who are leaving for school/end of summer shit. It’s overwhelming, actually. Thinking that I could potentially never see any of these people again is kinda sad- just like the end of high school. Although there isn’t any drama with any of these people, so there’s more sadness. Hahah.
I also have another tat. It’s on my left arm (bicep) and is halfway done. It’s getting color soon, so I don’t want to post a picture until I see the finished product. I’ll just tell you it’s a skull with flowers around it. Think what you want- either really cheesy or super sketchy, I know- but it’s honestly soooo fucking sweet… Look at me. I’m so humble. Ha.
I can’t believe how insane it’s been!
Yesterday was my birthday. It was also my first 6 hour shift at work. Even though I didn’t celebrate my birthday, which I don’t care to do anyway, my day was amazing! I had constant messages on my phone from everybody wishing me a happy birthday on facebook/text which was great (:
The beginning part of the day was slow. I slept in and took my time getting ready for work. It was the day that I was training for stock. Stocking isn’t what I thought it would be! I thought I would be carrying things around/setting things up the whole time, but that only lasted a short time. Which is fine with me- cause I do like variety.
I had an interesting experience with a customer, too. As I walked into the store, pushing carts, a creepy guy had asked me an extremely rude/nasty question. I was dumbfounded. I never expected that. Luckily, this amazing girl who I work with stepped in and took care of it. Gahhh, it’s the first day I met her and I already adore her (:
We also happened to finish all our work 15 minutes early, so I was able to get together with everyone who was working, and got to know them a little more. Everybody seems really chill, which is awesome.
I worked until close, and on my way home I found out I had to pick my sister up from a “party” type thing. But I know the girl who was putting it on, so I stopped and said hi for a while. That probably wasn’t the smartest part of my night, because I would have to get up early the next morning so I could get ready to open.
I got to bed around midnight, but didn’t actually fall asleep until one. This was horrible cause I woke up at 6:30 this morning. I was exhausted, and still am, but I had another great day at work. I had cashier duty and luckily didn’t come across any disturbing questions. Ha. It’s crazy how time flies when you’re on a checkout! I like it a lot, because of that fast pace.
I’ll have to hit the pillows early tonight because I open tomorrow also. I’m not quite sure what I’ll be doing- most likely I’ll be back on stock. Oh boy, am I tired.
